As a Trumpeter - one of my 1st memories of swing/40s music was watching the Syd Lawrence Orchestra at St David's hall Cardiff I was 13 years old & I remember hearing Pennsylvania 65000, In The Mood, Little Brown Jug, Sing sing sing, & I remember the lead Trumpeter performing Harry James Trumpet Concerto & I sat their in awe thinking one day I want to do this as a Career.

What Made You Get Into the 40's Scene?
my 1st Experience of the 40s Scene was in October 2012. I was booked to perform at a venue other than a Care Home performing my 1940s Wartime Show.
The Venue was The Sun Inn, Pickering and the Pub was Packed and full of 40s Fans and was a great night and cant wait to be back their in 2013. I knew that night that this is what I wanted to do as a profession & I couldn’t wait to get home to start researching genuine uniform & contacting events.
